                                  Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty, or the tummy tuck, removes excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and tightens the abdominal muscles reducing the appearance of a protruding abdomen. Abdominoplasty aids both men and women with large fat deposits or loose abdominal skin that won't respond to diet or exercise. Women who have experienced multiple pregnancies benefit extremely well from this procedure. Loss of skin elasticity due to age and often accompanied by weight gain can also be treated with abdominoplasty.

The mini tummy tuck is a less extensive procedure for patients whose fat deposits are limited to the area below the navel. Liposuction may be performed in conjunction with both the full and mini tuck, and in some patient, liposuction alone may provide the best result. Likewise, Panniculectomy, a liposuction assisted procedure in which drastic skin and fat removal is necessary, may provide the best possible result.

In consultation, Dr. Smith will take into account your age, weight, and condition of your skin as to whether you are a good candidate for abdominoplasty at this time. Scarring will result, but incisions are made where they will appear as inconspicuous as possible.

                                                 Lipoplasty

Liposuction or liposculpting resculpts the contours of the body and face by removing stubborn localized areas of fat. Often with age, fatty deposits accumulate in various parts of the body that do not respond to traditional weight loss methods. Although you maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly, your genetic code sees to it that some bulges don't budge.

With the tumescent technique, Dr. Smith can treat a larger range of areas with increased precision and faster recovery for patients. Liposuction can be used to redefine the contours of the thighs (inner & outer), hips, buttocks, knees, back, arms, flanks, abdomen, calves, upper arms, chin, cheeks, jowls, and neck.
